Floswimming.org catches up with us in Omaha

The crew of floswimming.org is not only covering the US Olympic Swim trials nicely, but they have also found our crib.

Olympic Trials in Omaha

So we are off to the trials in Omaha. Roque Santos and his side kick Dean "Deano" Jackson will be on hand to show, demo and talk bout our Nero swimskins. The past few weeks have had the blueseventy team running arond the globe holding test sessions in Italy, Germany, U.K, USA and many more places. Omaha will give us chance to enjoy the racing and support the athletes who have the Olympic dream. We will have 1000 demo suits at the event, so please feel free to approach us and ask us about the suits.

We will be joined by our friends from floswimming who will be working on some video footage of athletes, the event and the Nero suit. Look also out for Roque Santos performing an underwater trick or two. We will be poolside in the warm up pool and you should not miss us in our fine cowboy hats. All nero suits can be used for 1 race at a discretional fee of $20 (The money will be donated to "Make a Splash" the charity for bringing the pool to the children)

The blueseventy nero was recently reviewed on goswim.tv and the tester Glenn Mills seemed to be quite smitten with the suit.

Guy's Windsor Tri DOMINATION!

Guy was pretty scared about being the last person to cross the line at Windsor as he was racing in the Pro field. Amazingly, he didn't finish last.

Terenzo Bozzone wins Ironman 70.3 Kansas

Another fantastic race for blueseventy athlete Terenzo Bozzone as he rocketed to a win at the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Kansas. So that actually means 2 wins in 3 starts, and without the silly penalty at Eagleman 70.3, Terenzo could easily have been 3 for 3.

But 2 wins and one runner-up spot ain't bad.

Congratulations to Bevan Docherty, Sarah Haskins and Samantha Warriner

blueseventy athlete Bevan Docherty (NZL) won a silver medal at the 2008 Elite Triathlon World Championships in Vancouver, Canada and fellow blueseventy athletes Sarah Haskins (USA) and Samantha Warriner (NZL) took the silver and bronze medals in the Elite women's race. We are super happy for them and proud beyond believe.

Pieter Van Den Hoogenband test

Our blueseventy pointzero & nero swim skins have seen quite a bit of open water time and have really proven themselves over and over so far. Many though wondered how well these super fast swim skins would do in the pool and chlorine. To answer this question we recently got a few decently well known swimmers like Pieter Van Den Hoogenband to test them out and wow what a success it was.

Oh, for the record he swam 1.45.9 for 200m, his fastest time in six years. :-)

blueseventy athletes represent at Eagleman 70.3

After the fastest swim of the day, blueseventy athlete Joanna Zeiger dominated all the way to the finish at Ironman Eagleman 70.3 in Cambridge, Maryland. Second place was blueseventy athlete Dede Griesbauer and that made for a nice blueseventy 1 and 2 finish.

Terenzo Bozzone was the runner-up in the men's race at Eagleman 70.3. He exited the water with the lead pack of men , including fellow blueseventy athlete Bryan Rhodes.

Potts and Cave rock Escape from Alcatraz

blueseventy athletes Andy Potts and Leanda Cave had fantastic races at the 2008 Accenture Escape from Alcatraz triathlon and repeated their titles from 2007. The race is well known for a challenging course all together but especially for a very tough and cold swim.

Alistair Brownlee (GBR) won the 2008 ITU under 23 World Championships in stunning fashion and we are glad to know that his blueseventy helix wetauit served him well along the way.

In the news

The local news in Coeur D'Alene mentioned current 49 degrees water temperatures and that might be a bit nippy for the upcoming Ironman CDA. That seemed to be no big deal for athlete Scott Burkhardt as he seems to be quite happy in his blueseventy wetsuit and neoprene hat when he was interviewed for the story.

Luke McKenzie started the event with the fastest swim split of the day among pros in his blueseventy pointzero 3 and then had a fantastic race to finish second to 2007 Ironman Hawaii World Champion Chris McCormack.

Felipe Bastos reports from New Orleans

I am just back from the TriAmerica race in New Orleans' Northshore. I had a terrific day and ended up with the win. I felt so strong throughout the whole race and my body was incredibly responsive every time I asked it to do more.

Thanks for the continued support - also many thanks for sending the PointZero3 just in time. This was my first time wearing it and I was amazed at how much of a difference it made in my swim!





Next up is the Southeast Long Course Championships, then the Kansas Ironman 70.3 followed by the Black Warrior Triathlon.

Keeping it casual at Ironman China

blueseventy athlete Nicole Töpfer who crossed the female pro line in 5th place, shows us all how to wear the traditional Chinese hat with style.

The picture from left is of John Crisp (aged 73), David Durrant (aged 65) and Ken Winter (aged 77).

These guys won gold in the 4 x 50m medley relay in the World Masters Championships in Australia - each wearing the pointzero3. They broke the Australian relay record and were just off the world record. They have a combined age of 280 years – amazing!

Luke McKenzie wins Honolulu Triathlon

Blueseventy athlete Luke McKenzie won the 2008 Honolulu Triathlon and we are very happy for him.

Leanda Cave wins Ironman 70.3 Florida

Leanda Cave won the 2008 Ironman 70.3 in Florida and was only narrowly beaten out of the water. Bryan Rhodes had the fastest pro swim split of the day and finished 7th.

Janda Ricci-Munn is a new pro for 2008 and we are thrilled that he is a blueseventy athlete. He is certainly someone to watch and it seems that the guys on slowtwitch.com agree.

Team Timex wetsuits

When you see Team Timex athletes at various events you may notice their custom blueseventy wetsuits with the Timex logos. It is very good way to make your wetsuits look a bit more unique and help sponsors out and can actually be done for shops or teams that order 50 wetsuits or more.

A great blueseventy pointzero 3 review

We very much believe in what we do and are super confident that our customers will like our products and find them to be beneficial. Still we always quite enjoy it when a customer or a magazine gives us an enthusiastic thumbs up, kind of like 220 magazine recently did with our blueseventy pointzero 3 swimskin.

Joerg Schneider from Germany just raced his first race in his blueseventy pointzero 3 swim skin and surprised himself how fast he came out of the water, and how easy it was to shed the swim skin.

blueseventy suits rock Wildflower and St. Croix

Water temperature and locations may have differed, but the performance advantage was the same as the North American triathlon season began this past weekend. Two flagship events on the calendar kicked off in similar style, with blueseventy suits leading the fields out of the water in both men’s and women’s fields of the St Croix 70.3 race, and the Wildflower Triathlon.

The St Croix Ironman 70.3 Triathlon held in the Virgin Islands, always has warm water temperatures that make wetsuits illegal, but wearing the FINA approved pointzero3+ suits made by blueseventy allowed Bryan Rhodes and Julie Dibens to be the clear leaders out of the water in their respective fields.

In California, at the AVIA Wildflower Long Distance Triathlon, cooler water temperatures meant the bulk of the field were choosing to wear wetsuits, and course-record holder Terenzo Bozzone and Linda Gallo who had the fastest women's swim split were both wearing the newly released Helix full suit from blueseventy.
